Our Story – Why 7788eg Exists
It started with a simple question: why isn't there a great online casino built for Filipinos?
When the team behind 7788eg first started talking about building an online gaming platform, the motivation wasn't complicated. We were Filipino players ourselves, and we were tired of the experience. Offshore sites with confusing currency conversion, payment methods that didn't actually work in the Philippines, games that had clearly been designed for a different market, and support teams that had no idea what GCash was. It was frustrating in a way that felt unnecessary, because none of those problems were actually hard to solve.
So we decided to build something better. 7788eg launched in 2019 as a platform designed around the specific needs, habits, and preferences of Filipino online players. From day one, the priority was simple: make sure every part of the experience – depositing, choosing a game, placing a bet, winning, withdrawing – felt natural and smooth for someone in the Philippines.
That meant starting with payments. GCash was already deeply embedded in Filipino financial life, and building proper GCash support wasn't optional – it was the foundation. Maya, GrabPay, BDO and BPI online banking, InstaPay, PESONet – we built the full stack of local payment options from the start because anything less would have meant failing our users at the most basic level.
The game library came next. We didn't just license a generic catalogue. We focused on baccarat, because that's the game Filipinos actually love most in casinos. We added Dragon Tiger, fishing games, and card game variants with local relevance. We built out a sports betting section with genuine coverage of Philippine sports – PBA, Philippine football, boxing – not just an afterthought pointing at European football leagues. Every decision was made with a Filipino player in mind, and that approach hasn't changed since we launched.
